© 2010 Esther MolinéI was very lucky to get a new lens for my birthday recently, a Canon EF70-300mm! I tried it out for the first time at St Stephen's Green park in Dublin the other day, I was delighted to be able to get so much closer to the birds! Here's a mandarin duck I got at the pond.

© 2010 Esther MolinéI collected some more twigs and leaves in the garden this morning to spell Happy Christmas on the snow. Again, I just brought up the brightness to bring out the colours. Probably won't have time now to do some cards out of it but there's always next year!
I've made this banner for the Tinderbox Network. Had the idea of making the most of the snow before it goes away, arranged a few twigs onto the snow in my back garden, took the photo, brought up the brightness slider to the max and this is the result! I'm thinking of making Christmas cards using this idea...

© 2010 Esther MolinéI took this photograph of a robin during the cold spell we had last January. It was outside the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, probably looking for food from me, instead it got a photograph! No zoom lens was used here, I was able to get quite close and the photograph is cropped a bit. I made Christmas cards out of it!

Last Easter I went back to my hometown and visited this park I'd never been to before. A beautiful and interesting place, but very little known. Scenes from 'Dr Zhivago' were shot in it!

Looking forward to my first ever exhibition at Independents Day.
This will be one of the works I'll submit, a shot I took of a bubble made by a fellow that's usually around Grafton Street making giant bubbles.
